François Lagarde, CFA Vice President and Chief Strategist
Back to team menu François Lagarde is Vice President and Chief Strategist at Montrusco Bolton Investments Inc. (MBII). He is also President of MBII's Asset Mix Committee. François joined MBII in July 2000 as a Vice President of Fixed Income Investments. Prior to joining MBII, François worked since 1997 for the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec as a bond trader. He was responsible for managing a significant amount of capital at risk in a tactical portfolio. Between 1993 and 1997, François held a number of positions in the Treasury Department of the National Bank of Canada, including financial management advisor (derivatives), portfolio manager and trader. He has also worked as an analyst/trader for General Trust of Canada. François earned a Bachelor’s degree in Administration with a major in Finance from l’Université du Québec à Montréal. He has also completed the Canadian Securities Course and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
