François Lagarde
is Vice President and Chief Strategist at Montrusco Bolton Investments Inc. (MBII). He is also President of MBII's Asset Mix Committee. François joined MBII in July 2000 as a Vice President of Fixed Income Investments. Prior to joining MBII, François worked since 1997 for the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec as a bond trader. He was responsible for managing a significant amount of capital at risk in a tactical portfolio. Between 1993 and 1997, François held a number of positions in the Treasury Department of the National Bank of Canada, including financial management advisor (derivatives), portfolio manager and trader. He has also worked as an analyst/trader for General Trust of Canada. François earned a Bachelor’s degree in Administration with a major in Finance from l’Université du Québec à Montréal. He has also completed the Canadian Securities Course and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
