Corporate History
Louisbourg Investments
was co-founded in January 1991 by Assumption Life and Bolton
Tremblay Inc., in order to provide investment and financial services
to investors in the Atlantic region as well as to develop local
expertise. Since that time, Louisbourg has built its business from
its Moncton head office in New Brunswick to serve today over 160
accounts representing over $1.2 billion of assets. Louisbourg
Investments established a Halifax office in 2000.
In early 1999, Bolton
Tremblay merged with Montrusco Associates; thereby, shaping an even
stronger organization with internal global research resources.
Montrusco Bolton Investments has since further expanded its
investment depth and expertise in every asset class, adding also
capabilities in Alternative Investments and in Income Trusts.
Montrusco Bolton Investments is an important partner for Louisbourg. With 60 years of inherited investment management experience - Montrusco
Bolton Investments is one of the few full-resource money management firms not
associated with a banking group.
From an investment point
of view, Louisbourg Investments and Montrusco Bolton Investments are an integral part of
each other. The managers of each organization unite under a common
investment philosophy, strategy and approach. All clients of
Louisbourg receive the services of this fully integrated team.
Louisbourg serves three
markets: Pension plans, Endowment/Foundation plans and private
wealth. It is the objective of Louisbourg to grow each side of these
businesses.
